Your Role


As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy. You will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations.


Your primary duties will include analysing financial data, preparing financial statements, developing financial models, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management. You will collaborate with various teams to drive financial performance and support decision-making processes.


The team


The current makeup of the team includes a Director located in London and two Associates located in Manchester.

  • Manage financial reporting and analysis
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Develop and maintain financial models
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management

Job requirements


Your Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • Qualified accountant e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Prior experience as a financial controller within the financial services or technology sector
  • Proven experience managing finance teams and track record of success
  • Experience in managing budgets, leading financial reporting processes, and coordinating financial audits
  • Strong technical skills in financial analysis, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial software
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Workday or Oracle
  • Fluency in a European language is desirable
